The theme of the 2018 National Chemistry Week Illustrated Poem Contest was “Chemistry is Out of This World!”
In Orange County, we had 45 entries this year, a great increase over last year. All the entries were submitted by High School students.
The 2018 winners were:
1st place ($75): Makayla Brown, 11th grade, Orange County School of the Arts. Teacher: Heather Jonson 
2nd place ($50): Doris Kim, 10th grade, Oxford Academy. Teacher: Clay Elliot
3rd place($25): Hanna Lee, 10th grade, Oxford Academy. Teacher: Shirley Tran
