Orange County Science and Engineering Fair

The Orange County Science and Engineering Fair is an annual event organized to encourage the youth of Orange County to learn about science and to consider a career in science or engineering. The Fair is open to 6th - 12th grade students attending public or private schools in Orange County.

One or more members of the OCACS Education Committee view all the projects, hear students' oral presentations in the Junior and Senior Division of Chemistry and a number of related categories, and confer with the OC Science and Engineering Fair category judges. Then the Education Committee Science Fair subcommittee members select one Junior Division student and one Senior Division student "who best demonstrate good understanding of the chemical principles involved in their project."

The students are invited as guests at the May Awards dinner, and are presented with certificates, plaques, and book store gift cards.
