The 2021 Orange County Chemistry Olympiad was held online on Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 8:45 am to 11:00 am. Approximately 140 High School students nominated by their high school teacher participated in this competition, which was the 1st round of the National Competition. There were 12 breakout rooms, each of which was monitored remotely by a Faculty proctor and a co-proctor.
The US National Chemistry Olympiad began on April 17, 2021. The 53rd International Chemistry Olympiad was held virtually in July 2021 in Osaka, Japan.
Although there was no Awards dinner in 2021, the top student from each School was honored with a certificate, and their name was engraved on the School’s perpetual plaque. Certificates were also given to all the students in the top 6 teams.
