In certain years, the Orange County section of the American Chemical Society (OCACS) presents a Chemistry Teacher of the Year award. An announcement is made at the beginning of the calendar year if the OCACS Board decides to make the award, and nominations are sought from science teachers and administrators at high schools in Orange County, CA. (Teachers may nominate their colleagues).
