National Chemistry Week

National Chemistry Week

National Chemistry Week (NCW) is a public awareness campaign organized by the American Chemical Society with events all around the country that communicate the importance of chemistry to our quality of life. The mission of NCW is to make a positive change in the public’s impression of chemistry. Every year during the third week of October, ACS members and chemistry enthusiasts celebrate NCW by coordinating events and activities that promote the value and excitement of chemistry to everyone.

In Orange County, NCW is usually an event held over several hours at the Santa Ana zoo. College students from all over the Southland assist kids with hands-on science.
